This is the personal homepage of Steve Kemp, a free software programmer living in Edinburgh, Scotland.

This site itself is hosted upon a KVM-based Debian GNU/Linux virtual machine maintained as a simple co-operative. The physical hardware is hosted by Bytemark Hosting a company who I started using a few years ago - and now find myself working for!

I'm a sysadmin located in Edinburgh experienced in using and developing under GNU/Linux, Solaris and Microsoft Windows.

Stop Blog & Forum Spam

This is a simple site which offers an XML-RPC service to detect and identify blog/forum spam.

Debian Administration

This is the site which I setup to share useful pieces of information about the Debian GNU/Linux operating system.

I'm a keen amateur photographer, and I've posted many small images upon my "portfolio" site:

• I made public the node-reverse-proxy which is based upon node.js.
• I made public the redisfs replication-friendly filesystem based upon Redis & FUSE.
• I made public the itag image tagging and indexing tools.
• I made public the milli distributed bug tracking/recording utility.
• I made public the perl system administration helper.
• I moved the Computer Security content around and simplified it.
• I created a page to hold my query plugins.
• I created a page to hold my qpsmtpd plugins.
• pluto - The special planet.
• skximapd - A simple IMAP server framework.
• skxlist - A simple mailing list manager.
• blogspam service launched.
• tscreen, a fork of GNU Screen.
• A new IMAP utility sift was added.
• A new section added on my steam engines.
• I've created a Mercurial Repository for hosting my projects
• The Chronicle Blog Compiler has had a new release.
